Meet the Team
President
Rujula Vikram
Rujula is a third-year majoring in political science and economics. She founded this organization during high school and continues to serve as its president. Rujula is the driving force behind it all. She personally contacts all the members and board members, handles administrative decisions, delegates tasks, and actively seeks new opportunities to engage with our community.
Director of Programs
Mehr Monnoo
Mehr, a third-year economics major, serves as the Director of Programs. In this role, she takes charge of crafting and coordinating various club programs and activities. Mehr also leads and supervises the mentors, striving to create lasting, memorable experiences for both mentors and mentees, thus fostering a lasting impact within the organization.
Director of Marketing
Sahar Miskinyar
Sahar is a dedicated third-year psychology student driven by a passion for making a positive change in the lives of future generations through mentorship. In her role as the director of marketing, she spearheads strategies aimed at raising awareness about education barriers. Sahar also enhances our social media presence, bridging the gap between Uplift and the community.
Director of Internal Relations
Ruwani Jayasekara
Ruwani, a third-year double major in political science and business economics, has a strong passion for empowering the younger generation and fostering unity within the community. In her role as the Director of Internal Relations, she's dedicated to cultivating a supportive and enjoyable environment for all.
Director of Finance
Rhea Shenoy
Rhea Shenoy is a third-year who is passionate about community involvement and promoting equal opportunities for all. In her capacity as the Director of Finance for the Uplift Initiative, she is committed to ensuring that mentees have access to the necessary resources and fostering strong relationships between mentors and mentees.
Director of External Relations
Piper Bailey
Piper is a third-year transfer student from Carlsbad, near San Diego. She is an English major and hoping to get her Masters in Academic counseling. Previously at MiraCosta College, she was the Vice President and the Inter-Club Counsel representative for the Fine Arts Club, a navigator for the Honors Program, and a Student Ambassador. As the Director of External Relations, she aims to establish vital connections with other educational institutions and support the organization’s growth.
Director of Operations
Sarah Cheng
Sarah is a fourth-year political science major who is committed to supporting the unique and individual journeys of young minds. Through her involvement in this organization, she is eager to help propel students into a prospering future with confidence. As the Director of Operations, Sarah is responsible for coordinating upcoming activities and meetings while keeping track of organizational tasks.
